Passage

In May 1994, the Kaufingertor Passage opened its doors. Since then, Munich residents and guests from all over the world have been shopping here, week after week, in top specialty stores on 4,600 square meters of retail space.

Glass-roofed and around 70 meters long, the arcade connects Kaufinger Strasse with Fürstenfelder Strasse and is a showpiece of Munich’s pedestrian zone. With the right mix of shopping, eateries and recreational islands, the arcade is its own city within the city.

Relaxed and yet in the midst of life.
Open and yet a protected space.

ART ON THE BUILDING

Art on the building is a central element within the light architecture of the Kaufingertor.
Visible from afar, the balancing figure “Man with outstretched arms” by artist Stephan Balkenhol at the entrance to the passage invites you into the shopping world. Since 2007, the artistic light show at and in the Kaufinger Gate has been a luminous attraction.

Now more than ever, the motto for all visitors is:
Feel good, enjoy, linger.
